I may need some help compiling a list, but I know since starting law school I've been really into watching movies about the law. Here is my list that I would recommend for some of you while taking a load off during law school. In fact, some of these, I watched while studying for finals (A Civil Action during my Civ Pro study).
10. ...And Justice for All: "I'm not out of order. You're out of order..." You have to love Al Pacino's over-the-top performance as an attorney. Good movie to watch if you want to see how an attorney would need to confront conflicts with their own values and beliefs 9. A Few Good Men: Always a classic - "you can't handle the truth!" If you are planning on being a JAG Corps attorney or are concerned about the code red's down at gitmo, this movie may be of interest with Top Cruise, Demi Moore, and good ole' Jack Nicholson.
8. Fracture: A little bit of a newer movie, but good for those taking Criminal Law. 7. Runaway Jury: A little bit of a different legal movie as it concentrates on the importance of jury selection. Except, the movie takes a little turn into jury tampering, but still a fun watch. 6. To Kill a Mocking Bird: This old classic is about a small town lawyer that takes a controversial case putting him at odds with the rest of the community and changes the realtionship he shares with his daughter. 5. The Firm: If you want the big firm experience or if you want to see how to get out of the "firm" grip, Tom Cruise will show the way. 4. A Civil Action: This is a must watch and even a common recommendation for Civ Pro professors in the first semester. This movies takes you from beginning to end of one civil action and truly gives a pretty real depiction of how a big toxic tort case with a large number of plaintiffs would work. 3. The Rainmaker: Probably a semi-accurate depiction of a small firm personal injury practice. Danny Devito throws in a some PR questions with ambulance chasing, unauthorized practice of law, and capping. 2. 12 Angry Men: This is a great movie of a jury deliberation almost entirely filmed in one scene. It is hard to imagine what goes on in during a jury discussion of a murder case, but if anything, this movie gives you a good idea. Phenominal acting and the movie's is still not dated. 1. My Cousin Vinny: Now, this is a personal favorite. Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei make a nice comic duo in this criminal case of the kid from the Karate Kid. This is a good one for evidence classes, trial practice, and of course learning what not to do in a court room. I just realized that I shouldn't have limited my list to the top ten because I just thought of a few more that I love. So, how about just fill in some of the blanks in the comment section or reorder your own list.

Also, what about great TV shows, like Eli Stone?
And I loved devil's advocate.
