There are always questions sent to me about what it is like in a typical day of a law student. I always respond by saying that law school is what you make of it, because there was hardly anything typical about my law student day.
To answer the question of what you would expect, just think of it as a 40 to 50 hour-a-week job OR... just see a day in the life of law student Jesse in this video after the jump.
It looks like college! I'm not sure if I did that pink vest though. It doesn't look like everyone dresses professionaly either. It looks like people are just dressing like in their undergraduate. Are all schoos like that?

Yes, all schools are like that. The classroom is relatively laid back, minues those handful of people who think that dressing up will get them further. Besides, for the people who intend to do well, they are all the school all day, about 4 hours in class and 12 hours in the library. They want to be comfortable. And I'm not exaggerating.

I just wanted to second what Nicole has just said. I can honestly tell you that out of a class of 90 there are only 4 people that come to class dressed up. Most of us come to class in jeans and sweatshirts and polos, some people even wear flip flops and baseball caps. its not really expected that you will come to class dressed up, because sittin in a chair for hours on end and then migrating to the library to study for another 7 or 8 hours is just not smart if your wearing heels and a suit. We only dress up for class if we are going to be presenting a case in class that day.
